Update on COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus)

After consultation with our partners from around the world, Informa Markets have decided to postpone ME-OTO originally scheduled to run from the 26-28 March 2020, with the new dates confirmed for 18-20 June 2020 at the Conrad Dubai Hotel, Dubai, UAE.

Following the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19), we believe this decision is in the best interests of all our exhibitors, attendees and colleagues. Fellow organisers around the world have faced similarly tough decisions and have also had to change the dates of well-established events.

We sincerely hope that you understand that this decision is being made in the interest of all parties involved, who would better benefit from attending the show on the new dates.

Finally, we wish to thank everyone who participate and ME-OTO and we greatly appreciate your patience and understanding.

We encourage all to follow WHO guidelines with respect to general hygiene:
The World Health Organisation’s standard recommendations for the general public to reduce exposure to and transmission of a range of illnesses are as follows, which include hand and respiratory hygiene:

  • Wash your hands frequently
Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand rub if your hands are not visibly dirty.
  • Maintain social distancing
Maintain at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
  • Practice respiratory hygiene
When coughing and sneezing, cover mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue – discard tissue immediately into a closed bin and clean your hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
Hands touch many surfaces which can be contaminated with the virus. If you touch your eyes, nose or mouth with your contaminated hands, you can transfer the virus from the surface to yourself.
  • If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early
Stay home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call in advance. Follow the directions of your local health authority.
  • Stay informed and follow advice given by your healthcare provider
Stay informed on the latest developments about COVID-19. Follow advice given by your healthcare provider, your national and local public health authority or your employer on how to protect yourself and others from COVID-19.

Should the situation change, we will update you accordingly.

Our sympathies are with those affected all around the world at this time.
